UCDN Programmes Coordinator Vacancy
United Cultures for Development Network (UCDN) is a global network whose objective is to advocate internationally for the power of culture and its important contribution to development.
With over 20 partner organisations participating within the network, UCDN is establishing a secretariat which will assist the network in internal and external communication and other logistics with a special emphasis on recourse mobilisation. The secretariat will reside in South Africa – Johannesburg and will be manned by one staff member who will be guided and report directly to the committee.
Responsibilities:
- Research and advice and follow up preferred legal status of network
- Fundraising
- Coordinate and manage Partner projects
- Internal Communication
- External Communication
- Coordinate Partner Meetings
Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification preferably in Project Management
- 5 years experience of working on projects in the arts and culture sector
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience in Financial Management
- Ability to develop and implement business plans
- Ability to write funding proposals
- Experience in advertising, promotion and exhibitions
- Good communicator
- Fundraising and Report Writing Skills
- Self motivated
- Tenacity
- Must have an affinity with arts and culture
- Preferably speaks and writes in two languages (i.e. English and French/ Spanish)
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, E-mails)
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license
